Google Fiber Broadband

Google Fiber starts with a connection speed 100 times faster than today's average broadband. Instant downloads. Crystal clear HD. And endless possibilities. It's not just TV. And it's not just Internet. It's Google Fiber.

At 1000 Mb per second, Google Fiber is 100 times faster than today’s average Internet, allowing you to get what you want instantaneously. You no longer have to wait on things buffering; everything will be ready to go when you are. So whether you are video chatting, uploading family videos, or playing your favorite online games, all you need to do is click and you’re there.

Watch hundreds of HD channels, tens of thousands of shows and movies on-demand, and all your favorite Internet content from Netflix—all in one place. So, whether it’s live, on-demand, or online, you can search quickly for and access all of your favorite programs seamlessly.

A bigger pipe means less compression. Luckily, Google’s ultra fast Fiber network has more than enough bandwidth to ensure you get HD in all its glory ... with nothing left behind.

Google Fiber is both your Internet and TV. It brings together your devices and gives you the freedom to search, record and save shows without worry. So sit back and relax. For the first time, catching all your favorite things is almost easier than missing them.

Record up to eight programs simultaneously, just because you can. And with an unprecedented two terabytes of storage, you will never have to worry about having enough space to record your favorite shows.

The Internet is at its best when entire neighborhoods are connected at Fiber speeds. That’s why we are committed to powering up community buildings throughout KC. By joining Fiber, you’ll also help bring 100 times the possibilities to schools, emergency facilities, libraries, and more.

Every day there is more to experience on the web, but to access it, your Internet connection needs to keep up. That’s why, just like the web, Google Fiber keeps getting better. And while Google will make sure your Fiber is always ready for the best the web can offer, where the Internet goes is up to you.
The Full Google Experience Experience the Internet like never before. Instant downloads.
Crystal clear HDTV. And endless possibilities.
Up to one gigabit upload & download speed • Full channel TV lineup • 2 year contract • No data caps Nexus 7 tablet • 1 TV Box • Storage Box • Network Box • 1TB Google Drive • $120/mo + taxes and fees

100 times faster Internet comparison is based on average American download speeds of 5.8 Mb/second according to Akamai’s State of the Internet 4Q2011, where Google Fiber offers up to 1,000 Mb/sec download and upload. If you're already cruising mighty fast on the Internet, the actual increase in performance you experience may differ - but gigabit speed like Fiber's is still the fastest residential Internet in the nation right now.  Service may not be available in all areas. Viewing Netflix requires a subscription.

With Google Fiber you have access to a wide range of channels plus unique content. Watch all your favorite channels and discover new ones.

Get Google's new Android tablet, the Nexus 7, free with this package. Go beyond your standard remote's search and discovery experience. Seamlessly watch on your tablet in other rooms of your house.

Get access to live TV, on-demand shows, and Internet content. Every TV Box is HD-ready, so there are no extra monthly fees to watch HD.

Access Google Fiber all over your home by directly connecting to one of the four 1 Gbps Ethernet ports, or by accessing the high speed Wi-Fi. And stay safe with the gigabit firewall.

With two terabytes of storage, you can record all your favorite TV shows without ever worrying about having enough space. Add your own photos, videos, and music and access them from
any device in your home.

Keep everything. Share anything. Google Drive is everywhere you are – on the web, in your home, at the office and on the go.

The Chromebook is a new, faster computer. It starts in seconds, and offers thousands of apps. It has built-in virus protection, and backs up your stuff in the cloud. With automatic updates, it keeps getting better. Learn more

Citi Mobile Customers Logged in 100,000 Times in July

In July 2012, customers of Citi Handlowy's mobile banking logged in to the system more than 100,000 times. The latest features such as FotoKasa or Bump to Transfer as well a change in the application interface were key reasons for the success.

“Mobile banking of Citi Handlowy is ever more popular,” says Adam Grabarczyk, Head of Remote Banking Department of Citi Handlowy. “The number of customers who log in to the Citi Mobile application is constantly growing. In July, it exceeded 114,000. It is also worth stressing that as many as 70 percent of new users of Citi Mobile log in to the service by means of the application. It is the effect of innovative features, for example, FotoKasa, the first service on the market enabling the customers to make payments by scanning 2D codes and the new application interface.”

Citi Mobile was first introduced in 2010. As part of the application, features such as FotoKasa and Bump to Transfer were launched. The former enables its users to make payments by scanning 2D codes. Now, payments with FotoKasa are available to customers of UPC, PGNiG, TP SA and PTK Centertel (the operator of Orange mobile network), which represents a group of a few million customers in total. Since the second quarter, payments with FotoKasa have been available in cabs of MPT, a Warsaw taxi company. The manners of making payments with FotoKasa are shown in the film on Citi Handlowy's channel.

The Bump to Transfer solution has been designed in a "social" spirit. It enables its users to quickly transfer funds from an account of one customer of Citi Handlowy to an account of the other customer by "bumping" phones. The manners of using Bump to Transfer application are shown in the instructional film on Citi Handlowy's channel on YouTube.com.

Newsweek Weekly recognized the Citi Mobile banking service as one of the market's three best offerings ("2011 Newsweek's Friendly Bank" ranking). In the "Report on functionalities of mobile banking applications," Citi Handlowy was ranked among three best banks offering mobile applications for smartphones.

Sony Develops “Exmor RS,” the World's First*1 Stacked CMOS Image Sensor

Sony Develops “Exmor RS,” the World's First*1 Stacked CMOS Image Sensor
Also introduces imaging modules that deliver high picture quality and compact

size, for use in mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets

August 20, 2012, Tokyo, Japan - Sony Corporation (“Sony”) today announced the commercialization of “Exmor RS,” the world's first(*1) CMOS image sensor incorporating a unique, newly-developed ‘stacked structure.’ Shipments will commence in October. Sony is introducing three models of the “Exmor RS,” stacked CMOS image sensor, for use in smartphones and tablets, which combine superior image quality and advanced functionality with compact size. Sony will also launch three corresponding imaging modules incorporating these sensors.
Going forward, Sony will continue to evolve its digital imaging products, while aggressively pursuing the further development and expansion of its core “Exmor RS” stacked CMOS image sensor technologies and lineup, in order to deliver increasingly diverse and user-friendly image capturing experiences.
The “Exmor RS” is a CMOS image sensor that adopts a unique ‘stacked structure.’ This structure layers the pixel section, containing formations of back-illuminated pixels over the chip affixed with mounted circuits for signal processing, in place of conventional supporting substrates used for back-illuminated CMOS image sensors.

Two of the three “Exmor RS” models Sony is launching are the ‘IMX135’, a type 1/3.06 model with 13.13 effective megapixels and the ‘IMX134’, a type 1/4 model with 8.08 effective megapixels, which feature ‘RGBW coding’ function and ‘HDR (High Dynamic Range) movie’ function. The ‘RGBW coding’ function can capture sharp, clear images even when filmed or photographed in low light conditions, such as a dark room or at night by featuring W (white) pixels in addition to conventional RGB (red-green-blue) pixels, and leveraging Sony’s proprietary device technology and signal processing to heighten sensitivity without compromising its high resolution. ‘HDR (High Dynamic Range) movie’ function enables two different exposure conditions to be configured within a single screen when shooting, and seamlessly performs appropriate image processing to generate optimal images with a wide dynamic range and brilliant colors, even when pictures are taken against bright light. The other “Exmor RS” model is the ‘ISX014’, a type 1/4 model with 8.08 effective megapixels, which has a built-in camera signal processing function.

Burn a CD or DVD from an ISO file in Windows 7

An ISO file, also called a disc image, is a single file that’s a copy of an entire data CD or DVD. When you burn a CD or DVD from an ISO file, the new disc has the same folders, files, and properties as the original disc. The most common way to get an ISO file is to download it from a website. For example, you might download and then use an ISO file to update software on your computer.

You can burn a disc image file, which often has either an .iso or .img file name extension, to a recordable CD or DVD by using Windows Disc Image Burner. Whether you can burn it to a recordable CD, DVD, or Blu‑ray Disc depends on your disc burner and the type of discs it can burn, the size of the disc image file, as well as the device on which you plan to use the disc.

 1. Insert a recordable CD, DVD, or Blu‑ray Disc into your disc burner.

 2. Open Computer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Computer.

 3.
In Windows Explorer, find the disc image file, and then double-click it.

 4.
If you have more than one disc burner, from the Disc burner list in Windows Disc
Image Burner, click the burner that you want to use.

 5.
(Optional) If you want to verify that the disc image was burned correctly to the disc,
select the Verify disc after burning check box.

If the integrity of disc image file is critical (for example, the disc image file contains
a firmware update), you should select this check box.

 6. Click Burn to burn the disc.

Fast and fluid : With Internet Explorer 10, the web is fast. By taking advantage of Windows 8 and your device’s hardware, browsing with Internet Explorer is as fast and fluid like the rest of Windows

with the continued innovations in hardware acceleration, Internet Explorer allows web
developers and designers to build increasingly rich and immersive web experiences that run
as fast as local apps on your Windows 8 PC.

A more trusted web : Internet Explorer 10 Release Preview continues to provide a trusted browsing experience,
helping to keep you safe from the real-world security and privacy concerns that come with the modern web. Internet Explorer gives you choice and better control over your online privacy with innovative Tracking Protection privacy controls.

Based on standards : Internet Explorer has one underlying platform that supports HTML5 and enables the same markup to work across many other modern browsers. And with extensive support
for additional standards spanning HTML5, CSS3, and EcmaScript5, Internet Explorer 10
Release Preview provides developers with a standards-based platform they can use to write
increasingly rich and beautiful sites that are free of plug-ins.
